Job summary

Irving ISD invites applications for the role of Report Writer/Application Manager in the Information Technology Services department. This exempt, 230-day position supports district-wide reporting, BI tools, and web-based tools for educators and staff.

The successful candidate will manage report libraries, develop automated tools, train users, and maintain district technology websites and documentation. A related bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 2+ years in education tech.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information or computer science.
Experience in an educational environment preferred.
Knowledge of student information systems and reporting tools.
Ability to design user friendly websites and create videos/documentation.
Experience with web-based BI tools and report writers (Crystal, Cognos, SSRS).
Strong problem solving and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

Create reports and manage report library for supported systems using Crystal, Cognos, or SSRS.
Manage, maintain, and enhance programs and processes for assigned applications.
Create, install, and test setups for student/teacher systems (grade books, curriculum, digital resources, etc.).
Test various computer programs under different operating environments.
Collaborate with campus personnel to promote effective use of technology.
Maintain Technology website and documentation for supported applications.
