Job summary

WRA Architects is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead a team of Interior Designers on PreK-12 and Higher Education projects. You will guide project development and provide direction to designers, ensuring design excellence and alignment with client goals.

The ideal candidate has 5–6 years of experience in interior design with leadership exposure, strong communication and presentation skills, and a passion for learning spaces. Travel regionally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from a CIDA accredited college or university.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present in front of large audiences as needed.
• Minimum of 5-6 years of work experience in interior design with at least 2 in leadership/management roles.
• Registered Interior Designer in Texas and/or Oklahoma is preferred or required.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Interior Designers and provide daily direction.
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator, Project Manager, and Design Lead to align project design with business objectives.
• Build and maintain client relationships; understand client needs and communicate them clearly to the team.
• Provide internal learning opportunities to enhance staff understanding of how design affects student learning and operations.
• Travel regionally as needed for project work and related conferences.
