Job summary

San Mateo County Health, Health IT Division, seeks a results-driven Education & Informatics Manager to lead education, training, and informatics across the organization. You will manage two teams—Training and Informatics—overseeing strategy, scheduling, materials, and day-to-day delivery for Epic and related systems.

The ideal candidate has a California RN license, Epic certifications, and 5+ years in healthcare with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

RN licensure in California (or equivalent)
Epic certifications in relevant clinical applications (EpicCare Ambulatory, ClinDoc, Orders)
Experience leading education, informatics, and training programs in healthcare
Five+ years in healthcare with two+ years in supervisory/manager roles

Responsibilities

Lead Training and Informatics teams and coordinate delivery of education programs
Develop, execute, and monitor training strategies and materials for Epic and other Health IT tools
Oversee scheduling, logistics, and registration for training events and Go-Live support
Coordinate clinical and operational rounding to identify adoption barriers and drive improvements
Ensure program readiness, learner tracking, and outcomes measurement
Communicate with operational leaders and executives on training milestones and decisions
