AVANCE, Inc. in Texas seeks a Maintenance Technician to support ongoing maintenance of Head Start classrooms and facilities. You will identify maintenance needs, perform routine tasks, clean facilities, and coordinate minor repairs.

Travel up to 50% locally or long-distance; must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with diverse staff.

Qualifications

• Four to five years’ experience in general repair, carpentry, facilities maintenance, assembly, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
• Travel required locally or long-distance up to 50% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Identify areas in need of maintenance and respond promptly and effectively.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and utilize resources to accomplish them.
• Clean all facilities including bathrooms and floors.
• Complete regular maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs at centers and main office.
• Ensure upkeep of outdoor environments, including playgrounds and parking areas.
• Perform routine inspections for safety hazards indoors and outdoors.
• Assist in remodeling, refurbishing and repairing office spaces and storage units.
• Transport and distribute supplies to sites as needed.
• Complete work requisitions as directed by the Director of Operations.
• Participate in meetings and training as required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
