Job summary

AVANCE, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to support ongoing maintenance of Head Start classrooms and facilities. You will perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of outdoor spaces to ensure safe, welcoming environments across multiple sites.

Travel up to 50% of the time is required to visit various sites; valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential. The role requires four to five years of general repair experience in carpentry, plumbing,

Qualifications

Four to five years of experience in general repair, carpentry, facilities maintenance, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.
Travel required locally or long-distance up to 50% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Identify areas in need of maintenance and respond promptly and effectively.
Perform basic maintenance tasks and utilize resources to accomplish them.
Cleans all facilities and outdoor spaces within primary responsibility area.
Complete regular maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs at centers and main office upon request.
Ensure upkeep of outdoor environments including lawns, playgrounds and parking lots.
Perform routine inspections of indoor and outdoor spaces for safety hazards.
