Job summary

Save the Children International is seeking an Education facilitator (Casual Worker) to deliver educational activities for children aged 6-12 in Gaza. The role requires classroom experience, strong planning skills, and the ability to work within shelters under humanitarian conditions.

The facilitator will conduct assessments, plan lessons, and implement learning sessions while ensuring safeguarding and reporting. This position is contingent on funding and may involve rolling vacancies.

Qualifications

• Requires university degree in education (basic education).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a basic education teacher.
• Experience in emergency response and working in camp settings in humanitarian contexts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general assessments of shelters and learner needs.
• Select target children with shelter management.
• Plan and implement pre/post-assessments of reading, writing, and numeracy.
• Design and deliver educational and recreational sessions for children aged 6-12.
• Ensure documentation, consent, attendance, and reporting.
• Maintain storage and usage of materials and supplies.
• Adhere to safeguarding, PSEA, Child Protection, and Code of Conduct.
