About The Role

We're seeking a passionate Education Engineer to build our education program from scratch. This role combines technical expertise with teaching and community engagement, focusing on creating impactful educational content to empower users and the observability community.

You Will
  • Content Creation & Delivery: Develop engaging technical content such as tutorials, workshops, blog posts, and documentation; establish yourself as a subject matter expert; present complex concepts clearly through digital media.
  • Customer Community Engagement: Participate in online forums, foster a supportive learning environment, gather feedback to improve content, and represent Chronosphere digitally.
  • Curriculum Development: Design educational programs, identify knowledge gaps, and prototype new digital formats.
  • Back-End Engineering & Observability: Use your engineering skills to explain technical concepts and ensure content accuracy in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Building from the Ground Up: Help create and shape a new education team, influencing processes, tools, and culture.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a dynamic setting, take initiative, and iterate quickly on educational content.
You Have
  • 10+ years in the technology space
  • 3+ years back-end engineering experience
  • Experience in teaching, training, or digital content creation
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Excellent digital communication and presentation skills
  • Comfort with camera and audio recording
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly
  • A passion for online education
  • Proactive, self-driven, with a focus on rapid content iteration
  • A “hustler” mentality
  • Desire to help build a team from scratch
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the observability space
  • Remote work experience
