Job summary

The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen is seeking an Education Director to guide academic excellence and coach teachers across our NYC school. You will partner with the Center Director to support curriculum, classroom quality, and regulatory compliance for DOHMH/OCFS standards.

As instructional leader, you’ll mentor teachers, oversee assessment documentation, and promote enrollment growth while maintaining a positive, collaborative culture focused on educational excellence.

Qualifications

• Must meet NYC/OCFS licensing requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• NYC Teacher Certification preferred where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years leadership in early childhood education.
• Experience coaching teachers and improving classroom quality.
• Knowledge of NYC/NY State licensing regulations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of LEAP Curriculum.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching to staff.
• Mentor Lead and Assistant Teachers and support staff.
• Ensure engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Monitor assessments and document developmental progress.
