Job summary

The Learning Experience - Hell's Kitchen in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Preschool Education Director to lead curriculum quality, teacher development, and educational excellence across our early childhood program.

As part of the center's leadership team, you will work with the Center Director to ensure engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences every day, coach teachers, and uphold licensing standards. This role demands strong instructional leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• New York City Education Director qualification requirements.
• 3+ years of early childhood education leadership experience.
• Experience coaching and developing early childhood teachers.
• Knowledge of NYC childcare licensing requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of LEAP Curriculum across centers.
• Conduct classroom observations, coaching, and feedback.
• Mentor Lead and Assistant Teachers and staff.
• Maintain classroom quality and educational practices.
• Support lesson planning, child assessments, and documentation.
• Identify PD needs and provide ongoing training.
• Partner with Center Director on staffing and family retention.
• Ensure licensing compliance and documentation.
• Build relationships with families and communicate effectively.
• Support onboarding of new educators.
