Job summary

The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen in New York, NY seeks an experienced Education Director to lead the school's academic program and staff development. You will coach teachers, uphold high instructional standards, and ensure developmentally appropriate learning for each child.

You will partner with the Center Director to implement the LEAP curriculum, monitor classroom quality, and ensure compliance with NYC and NYS licensing and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must meet NYC DOHMH/OCFS licensing requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership in early childhood education.
• Strong knowledge of NYC and NYS childcare licensing.

Responsibilities

• Lead educational leadership and oversee IMPROVEMENT of curriculum and instruction.
• Coach and mentor Lead/Assistant Teachers and support staff with PD.
• Ensure classrooms deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning.
• Monitor child assessments and document developmental progress.
• Ensure compliance with NYC/NY state regulations and licensing standards.
