Job summary

Camden National Bank in Maine seeks an Education & Development Specialist to design, coordinate, and deliver learning programs from onboarding to ongoing development. You will manage LMS content, create eLearning materials, and collaborate across lines to grow employee capabilities.

• Collaborate and partner across business lines to assess and identify professional developmental needs and recommend, design, and implement effective learning solutions and content.
• Administer and coordinate activities related to the planning, development, and delivery of educational programs, including LMS content, required compliance learning, new employee orientation/onboarding, technical training video creation, and various communications.
• Influence development of talent across the company for a broader impact on the organizations vision and goals. Promote an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports engagement initiatives.
• By way of benchmarks and metrics designed to improve effectiveness, proactively analyze education programs supporting strategic business goals and required learning. Report findings quarterly and annually.
• Deliver learning content through a variety of platforms, including in-person, virtual, and eLearning/videos/job aides.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Education & Development, the Education & Development Specialist will assist in the design, coordination, and delivery of learning content and programs ranging from new hire orientation to continuous education and development programs. This role will work in a fast-paced environment as part of a high-performing team. The Education & Development Specialist will assist in creating new learning content (documents, videos, etc.), organizing educational programs, administering content in the Learning Management System (LMS) and delivering a variety of curriculums to support employee growth and development.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Collaborate and partner across business lines to assess and identify professional developmental needs and recommend, design, and implement effective learning solutions and content.
• Administer and coordinate activities related to the planning, development, and delivery of educational programs, including but not limited to Learning Management System (LMS) content, required compliance learning, new employee orientation/onboarding, technical training video creation, and various communications.
• Influence development of talent across the company for a broader impact on the organization’s vision and goals. Promote an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports engagement initiatives.
• By way of benchmarks and metrics designed to improve effectiveness, proactively analyze education programs supporting strategic business goals and required learning. Report findings quarterly and annually.
• Deliver learning content through a variety of platforms, including but not limited to in-person, virtual, and eLearning/videos/job aides.
• Maintain Learning Management System (Workday) platform and related content. Includes reporting, uploading of new content, answering stakeholder questions, bi-annual testing and ad hoc requests.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated adult education instruction experience, with three to five years background in design, coaching, teaching, and facilitation skills
• Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) or other systems administration
• Demonstrated ability to create eLearning content
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and working knowledge of video creation/editing software
• Possess working knowledge of adult learning principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven abilities to teach and convey banking experience and knowledge in educational programs
• Familiarity of American Bankers Association (ABA), Center of Financial Training (CFT), and/or State Banking Associations learning content and instruction venues

The prospective range of pay we will offer to a successful applicant to this position is $59,400.00-$88,350.00, which represents a good faith estimate of what we expect to offer at the time of posting based on the role’s responsibilities, level and location. Actual starting salary will be determined by the Bank in the Bank’s discretion, and shall depend on the applicant’s experience, skills, education, certifications, as well as other relevant business conditions. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
