Job summary

The S/L/A/M Collaborative in Providence, RI is seeking a Project Manager with experience in Education projects. You will lead the project team, develop and maintain workplans, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate with clients and consultants to deliver exceptional design.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong management and communication skills, the ability to write proposals and consultant agreements, and a collaborative approach to leading multidisciplinary teams throughout project

Qualifications

• Experience managing education design projects.
• Ability to develop project workplans and budgets.
• Strong writing skills and understanding of contract language.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project team through the life of the project including SLAM staff architects, interior designers, structural engineers and landscape architects, coordination with various consultants.
• Continuously collaborate with P-I-C and/or internal team members.
• Maintain positive communications with colleagues, clients, and consultants.
• Ability to plan ahead, develop and express concepts accurately and rapidly, manage the project team and meet deadlines.
• Client contact representing firm/team on projects.
• Assist in marketing efforts; may attend interviews.
• Preparation of consultant contracts and monthly processing of consultant invoices.
