Job summary

Perkins Eastman in Providence, RI seeks a Senior Project Architect with strong construction administration experience to lead education projects in Rhode Island and support regional teams in Boston and Stamford.

You will manage RFIs, submittals, site visits, meetings, and ensure design intent and codes are met while coordinating with clients, contractors, and consultants. A licensure in RI is preferred and a track record of design excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or related field.
• 10+ years of construction administration experience, preferably with education projects.
• Licensed architect; Rhode Island licensure preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore.
• LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AIA contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Principal and senior leadership.
• Liaise between the architectural team, clients, contractors, and consultants during construction.
• Manage day-to-day construction administration activities for education projects.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings in coordination with design teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and design intent.
• Prepare and track meeting minutes and action logs.
• Ensure timely resolution of field issues and maintain project records.
• Assist in preparing punch lists and close-out documentation.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Advocate for the architectural vision throughout construction.
