Job summary

The Oregon Department of Education seeks a Business Analyst to uphold the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise solutions, focusing on student data, academic performance, and administrative operations.

This role bridges technical design and business systems analysis to enhance outcomes, people, and processes across the education information ecosystem with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Five years of information systems experience in business systems analysis and support of enterprise applications or data collection systems OR an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, AND three years of experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one year of information systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program staff and technical teams to support enterprise applications and data collections by analyzing business needs and coordinating enhancements.
• Coordinate solution-related activities including requirements analysis, testing, implementation support, documentation, issue resolution, and communication with stakeholders.
• Analyze data, processes, and system performance to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and customer experience.
• Support ongoing operation of agency solutions through collaboration with program staff, vendors, developers, and project teams.
