Job summary

The Florida Department of Education, Division of Accountability, Research, and Measurement in Tallahassee, seeks a Systems Programming Consultant to develop and maintain SQL/SAS queries, analyze large education datasets, and produce reports for data-driven decisions supporting PK-20 education reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field and two (2) years of experience writing database queries or performing statistical analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL and/or SAS queries for standard and ad hoc reporting with high accuracy.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to answer education-related questions and inform decision-making.
• Produce timely reports used by leadership and external stakeholders, with accountability.
• Verify data for federal reporting requirements (IPEDS, Perkins, NRS) and ensure data quality.
• Document queries, datasets, and processes with clear, organized records.
