Job summary

The Maryland State Department of Education is seeking a Data and Analysis Specialist to provide programmatic support in data management and reporting for ESSA and related laws. The role ensures data quality, runs SAS-based datasets, and delivers ready-to-use data for state and federal reporting.

You will design and maintain SAS code, support ad-hoc inquiries, and collaborate with MSDE staff and local education agencies within a hybrid work arrangement at the Nancy S.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate coursework.
• Four years of professional experience in data analysis.
• Experience with education programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and manage SAS datasets.
• Ensure data quality, validity, and usability.
• Create, modify, and support reporting functions.
• Analyze data for federal or state reporting requirements.
