Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Data Reporting Specialist to support the Child Support Services program. You will prepare federally mandated reports, manage incentive funds, and monitor performance across required categories, while developing and testing data warehouse queries for multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience or equivalent.
• Experience with federal reporting categories and incentive measures.
• Experience designing, testing, and updating data queries/reports in a data warehouse.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide training.

Responsibilities

• Manage child support incentive funds and distribute to county offices.
• Prepare federally mandated child support reports and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Monitor incentive performance across required categories and statewide progress.
• Analyze data to identify trends and predictive program outcomes.
• Design, develop, update, and test Client Services Data Warehouse queries/reports.
• Test data transfers from ACTS to the data warehouse for correct processing.
• Resolve reporting issues with data warehouse staff and ACTS teams.
• Retrieve and analyze data from multiple sources for reports and recommendations.
• Evaluate program performance related to incentives and provide stakeholder recommendations.
• Support statewide CSS users with data warehouse queries for case management.
• Develop training materials and conduct training on data warehouse use.
• Provide software training for Word, Excel, Publisher, and Xcelsius.
