Job summary

Mayo Clinic Rochester is seeking an Education Coordinator responsible for coordinating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of educational activities to enhance clinical and educational skills of laboratory personnel.

The role involves collaboration with the management team on departmental educational and technical needs, providing technical training, developing a cardiac education curriculum, and supporting quality measures and QA/QI initiatives across the lab.

Job description

The Education Coordinator has primary responsibility for coordinating the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation or consultation of educational activities to develop, maintain and enhance clinical and educational skills of personnel within the laboratory. Works closely and communicates with the management team regarding the educational and technical needs of the department. May provide technical training for a variety of departments at Mayo. Serves as a technical and public relations liaison and resource technician for the laboratory computer systems. Assists laboratory staff with cardiac knowledge, technical knowledge, and procedural problems. Develops, facilitates and maintains quality measures, quality assurance and quality improvements for various areas of the lab. Performs special procedures and various laboratory technician duties as needed. Develops and maintains cardiac education curriculum for internal staff and external customers.
