Job summary

Harris & Associates seeks a seasoned Education Project Manager to lead multiple education construction projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. You will guide PMO processes, review design deliverables, manage risk, and coordinate with districts, designers, and vendors in a hybrid California environment.

The role requires 7+ years in managing complex education facilities, BIM experience, and a strong grasp of DSA processes, with OSHA-10 and a valid license.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in Management of multiple construction projects.
• 2 years’ experience in Educational Facility Construction.
• BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field.
• Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes or similar.
• Knowledge of project life cycle: master planning, design, closeout.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Experience with alternative delivery method.
• Experience with using a web-based project management system such as Proliance and/or Procore.
• OSHA-10 certification (required within 1 month of hiring).
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead a construction team in accordance with district and program policies and procedures for education-construction bond operations.
• Train team on PMO policies and procedures.
• Follow and execute program Quality Management System.
• Report and collaborate with Program Management Office on project matters.
• Review and develop contract documents.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and report performance of Education Project Management team and construction projects.
• Identify risk and create risk mitigation plans.
• Document and report all project data accurately and timely.
• Create and present project and college data to stakeholder groups.
• Manage and execute 5–10 projects simultaneously, $5M–$100M each.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate budget/schedule with Relocation PMO for FF&E and related items.
• Review CCDs with Design Team before submittal to DSA.
• Close out projects including DSA closeout and PMO/District closeout.
• Track project status and generate management reports on delivery schedules.
• Review site offices for performance and compliance with laws.
• Address disputes related to construction projects.
• Assist in outreach to provide project information to college stakeholders.
