Job summary

Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business seeks a senior administrator to manage the Management Education Center’s financial, personnel and operations, maximizing facility use and serving as the interface with the business community.

The role leads marketing, budgeting, staff development and program delivery, guiding center staff and contracted services while coordinating with university partners and business executives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge equivalent to a four-year degree in business administration, hospitality, or related field.
• Five to eight years of progressively responsible experience in hotel, restaurant, or conference center management including conference coordination, marketing, staff development, public relations, building maintenance and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Markets Broad College programs and facilities to business and associations.
• Develops long-range plans interfacing with the business community.
• Oversees proposals to meet training and conference needs in cooperation with staff and partners.
• Plans and implements annual budget; monitors financial operations and pricing policies.
• Designs marketing strategies and promotional materials with Marketing Communications and Executive Development Programs.
• Interviews, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff; sets policies for daily operation.
• Represents the center in community relations activities.
• Supports Executive MBA program through facility services.
