micro1 is seeking an Education Practitioner - Learning & Assessment Specialist to contribute expertise on a customer’s innovative education project. Remote work is preferred in the USA.

You will apply your domain knowledge to help train next-generation AI systems with high-quality, real-world inputs. In this role, you’ll refine instructional materials, evaluate learning interactions, and develop rubrics to ensure rigorous learner assessment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an instructional designer, learning scientist, assessment specialist, or educator within K-12, higher education, or edtech contexts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine interactive learning materials, including quizzes, formative assessments, and tutoring content for accuracy, pedagogical soundness, and learner engagement.
• Analyze learning interactions to determine effectiveness in building durable understanding rather than rote answer provision.
• Apply and enhance assessment rubrics, grading criteria, and outcome measurement tools to ensure high standards of learner evaluation.
• Provide expert feedback on educational content, ensuring academic rigor, suitability for diverse learners, and alignment with learning objectives.
• Develop, review, or iterate on visual and multimodal instructional resources to enhance comprehension and retention.
• Document observations and recommendations with clarity and precision, prioritizing strong written and verbal communication for effective collaboration.
• Contribute insights to improve AI-driven educational tools and resources, drawing on experience with learning design and evaluation.
