ArtsWorcester - Education and Outreach Manager
The Education and Outreach Manager is a grant‑funded position of 40 hours a week, reporting to the Executive Director and working in close partnership with the Associate Director. This position begins (with flexibility) mid‑April, to ensure two months’ overlap with the exiting employee.
ArtsWorcester offers a flexible and joyous work environment in the visual arts. Job candidates do not need to be an artist, or have museum or gallery experience. Candidates must bring an enthusiasm for ArtsWorcester’s mission, a warm, welcoming demeanor, an eagerness to learn, and an understanding and appreciation of the diverse communities that form ArtsWorcester.
The Education and Outreach Manager position pays $53,000 to $56,000 annually.
A health‑care stipend, equivalent to one‑half the employee’s cost of a Silver Plan with dental and vision insurance on the Massachusetts Health Connector, is provided as a payment in lieu of benefits.
ArtsWorcester contributes 2% of gross salary into an Individual Retirement Fund for each employee, regardless of individual contributions.
Three weeks’ paid time off is provided, in addition to paid time off between December 23 and January 2, and all state and federal holidays. This position is exempt.
The schedule for this role is Tuesdays through Saturdays. The work takes place during normal business hours, with the exception of Wednesday evenings with the FAW, and eight to ten opening receptions each year, usually on Fridays.
