Job summary

Noodle is seeking a Prompt Systems Engineer to design, test, and improve prompts powering AI agents across enrollment, learning, and student support. You’ll translate educational goals into reliable agent behavior and build evaluation frameworks to prove effectiveness.

You will collaborate with product managers, learning designers, university stakeholders, and engineers to ensure alignment with Bloom’s taxonomy and rubric-based objectives, while staying current with OpenAI and other providers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years designing prompts for production LLM-powered apps.
• Experience with prompt patterns (few-shot, chain-of-thought, system vs user roles).
• Ability to translate educational/operational goals into prompt instructions.
• Experience building prompt evaluations and interpreting results.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and iterate system prompts for AI agents in education.
• Build evaluation frameworks for accuracy, tone, and task completion.
• Collaborate with product managers, learning designers, and engineers.
• Maintain a library of reusable prompt components.
