Job summary

Jackson State Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Education to deliver instruction with integrative technologies and support student success. A Master’s degree in Education or related field is required; collegiate teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field from an accredited institution.
• Collegiate level teaching experience preferred.
• Availability to teach in person, during the day, and at various Jackson State locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses on ground as assigned; evenings, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required.
• Post grades during term and submit final grades by registrar deadlines.
• Complete required college trainings and reports; advise department leadership when unable to teach; attend meetings as requested.
• Regularly check JSCC email and department mailbox; respond within 48 hours (weekends excepted).
• Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to first day or within seven days of contract execution.
