Job summary

A global education technology company in Torrance, California is seeking a Curriculum Developer / Instructional Designer to support the expansion of its digital learning programs in the U.S. market.

You will design and develop engaging educational content for children using tablet-based learning technology, leveraging a strong understanding of the U.S. education system and curriculum development experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction or a related field.
• Professional experience in K-12 classroom teaching, curriculum development, instructional design, educational content development, or EdTech/digital learning.
• Experience independently developing or significantly contributing to curriculum, lesson plans, or instructional materials.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. education system and students' academic/developmental needs.
• Ability to design learning experiences with long-term educational outcomes in mind.
• Strong written communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital curriculum and educational content for students in the U.S. market.
• Create engaging learning experiences that build measurable academic skills.
• Develop curriculum structures, lesson sequences, learning objectives, and activities based on students' needs.
• Apply knowledge of U.S. standards and classroom practices to product development.
• Translate educational concepts into interactive, age-appropriate digital learning experiences.
• Evaluate existing curriculum and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion.
• Research trends in U.S. K-12 education and incorporate insights into design.
• Collaborate with product, content, technology, and education teams to improve programs.
• Support development of curriculum for additional grade levels and subjects as the program expands.
