Job summary

Macmillan Learning seeks a Contracts & Privacy Manager to join the Bids & Contracts team. You will evaluate, negotiate, and manage purchase agreements for textbooks, Achieve platform access, and Professional Development services across districts and higher ed, ensuring FERPA/COPPA compliance.

You'll collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Information Security, maintain an audit-ready contract repository, and build reporting on contract metrics while supporting remote work with a preference

Qualifications

• 6+ years evaluating, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements in EdTech/K-12/Higher Ed.
• Experience negotiating educational software/LMS agreements and PD services.
• Experience with district Data Protection Agreements and student data privacy addenda.
• Experience uploading and indexing metadata in a CLM/repository tool (DocuSign CLM/Salesforce/Conga).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and negotiate purchase agreements, MSAs, and terms of sale for textbooks, Achieve access, and PD engagements.
• Ensure licensing terms, subscription terms, and delivery schedules align for products and PD.
• Own district Data Protection Agreements and privacy riders; ensure FERPA/COPPA compliance.
• Review district RFPs and bid packages; apply pre-approved language; clarify terms.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Information Security; resolve redlines to protect the business.
• Maintain a central contract repository; upload executed agreements and amendments with metadata.
• Generate recurring and ad-hoc contract reports; track KPIs like turnaround time and renewal timelines.
• Monitor upcoming subscription end dates and renewal timelines; inform internal teams.
