Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking an experienced AEM EDS Developer / Front-End Developer to join our remote, contract-based migration program. You will develop and migrate web experiences using Adobe Experience Manager Edge Delivery Services, building responsive components and collaborating with UI/UX, content teams, and other developers.

Candidates should have 5+ years in Front-End/Web development, strong HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, and experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Front-End / Web Development experience.
• Hands-on experience with AEM Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
• Experience in EDS block/component development.
• Understanding of EDS project boilerplate and content pipeline.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Experience with AI-assisted / AI-based EDS implementations.
• Good understanding of Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, and front-end performance optimisation.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Exposure to AEM/EDS migration projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

We are looking for skilled AEM Edge Delivery Services (EDS) Developers / Front-End Developers to join our EDS Migration Partner Delivery POD.

The role involves supporting the migration and development of modern, high-performance web experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Edge Delivery Services. Candidates with hands-on EDS development experience are preferred. Strong Front-End Developers with relevant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript expertise can also be considered and may be enabled on EDS as part of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

AEM Edge Delivery Services – EDS Developer

• Build layouts using CSS Flexbox, Grid, animations and modern CSS techniques.
• Implement responsive and mobile-first designs across devices and browsers.
• Perform cross-browser testing and resolve UI compatibility issues.
• Optimize websites for web performance and Core Web Vitals.
• Follow accessibility standards, including WCAG.
• Work with design systems, component libraries, and design handoff tools.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to translate designs into high-quality front-end experiences.
• Use Git, build tools, and CI/CD workflows as part of the development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

Preferred – AEM EDS Developers

• 5+ years of Front-End / Web Development experience.

• Experience with mobile-first development.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals and web performance optimisation.
• Knowledge of WCAG and web accessibility standards.
• Experience with Git, build tools and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries and design handoff tools.

Preferred / Good to Have:

• Experience in AEM Edge Delivery Services migration.
• Previous experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Experience working on large-scale website migration programmes.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and implementation.
• Understanding of modern web development and performance optimisation practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
