Job summary

JobSquad Solutions Team is seeking an EDM Operator to join our Bloomingdale, IL area facility. You will set up and operate EDM machines, measure parts with dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances per process sheets.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of manufacturing experience in tight tolerance production, and a minimum of 5 years CNC EDM sinker or wire machining experience.

• Experience using measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, gauges.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates EDM machines to meet process sheets and quality standards.
• Measures parts with indicators and gauges to ensure tolerance compliance.
• Complete fixture teardowns and machine set ups for each job.
• Identify electrode and wire changes when needed.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and own part operation assigned.
• Label parts that do not meet quality standards.
• Suggest process improvements in production and quality.
• Maintain daily time records and complete asset care tasks.
• Escalate maintenance issues using the ticket system and keep area clean.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a EDM Operator to work at a company located in the Bloomingdale, IL area!Job Title: EDM OperatorJob Location: Bloomingdale/ Glendale Heights, ILPay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $23-28/ hr/ 1st or 2nd shiftJob Description:Responsibilities:Sets up (or the ability to learn) and operate EDM machines to ensure that machine parts are made according to the process sheets that meet or exceed published rates.Measures parts and reads measurement instruments using the following tools: Dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges to ensure parts are within defined specifications to meet quality standards.Complete fixture teardowns and machine set ups as needed for a specified job.Identify the need and complete electrode and wire changes when needed.Detailed quality assurance review of work on a continuous basis taking full ownership of the part operation assigned.Appropriately label parts that do not meet quality standards.Reviews operational processes and makes suggestions for process improvements in production, quality and company performance.Complete a daily time records sheet to accurately reflect the amount of time per job activity.Proactively complete daily asset care requirements and subsequently escalate as neededmaintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team using established maintenance ticket process.Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter.
