Job summary

Moog Inc. seeks an EDM Machinist I for 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will machine high-precision components for aerospace programs, following blueprints and process instructions, with training provided for SinkER/Wire EDM operations.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year machinist experience, and ability to read blueprints, plus FAA safety program participation. Sign-on bonus and shift differential apply.

About the role

At Moog, we design and manufacture high-performance systems that power some of the world’s most advanced aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. As a machinist within our Military Aircraft Group, you will machine some of the most challenging parts which will be used on major production programs such as F-35, MQ-25, and FLRAA.

Currently, we are seeking a skilled EDM machinist who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and wants to see their work contribute to some of the world's most advanced programs. In this role, you'll manufacture complex, high-precision components used in flight-critical systems where quality, reliability, and performance are non-negotiable.

Sign-on Bonus

This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus. To qualify, candidates must submit their application between July 20, 2026, and September 11, 2026, and is subject to the terms of the bonus agreement.

Qualifications
  • A high School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience as a general machinist
  • Demonstrated ability to follow an escalation path as it applied to machining
  • Familiarity using various measuring equipment
  • Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

  • Following a training period, operate a Sinker or Wire EDM Machine.
  • Perform inspection of all work using a variety of measuring equipment.
  • Actively collaborate with other team members to problem solve within their work area.

Salary Range Transparency

Buffalo, NY $22.00–$27.00 Hourly
