Job summary

Dexis is seeking an Editorial Technician I to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program in Aberdeen, Maryland. The role focuses on editing and proofreading technical documents, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting.

Onsite with potential travel nationwide and overseas as required; candidate must have English proficiency, MS Word/Adobe Acrobat skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Edits for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and format to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Verifies factual accuracy and alignment with illustrations and graphics.
• Supports document layout and multimedia content across technical documents.
• Proficient in English writing and communication; uses standard reference works.

Responsibilities

• Edit documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and format requirements.
• Revise sentences and structure to improve clarity without changing meaning.
• Determine publication format and prepare specifications for documents.
• Verify accuracy of statements, figures, and terms using reference materials.
• Insert links, graphics, and multimedia content as required.
• Proofread final copy and ensure editorial changes are incorporated.
