Qualifications

  • Great judgment, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and care.
  • Fast and avid reader with a deep knowledge of contemporary commercial fiction.

Responsibilities

  • Assistant to the Editorial Director: Manage the Editorial Director’s calendar, develop presentations for publishers, and execute components of BOTM’s podcast operations.
  • Book Selections: Assist with the Selections process, including maintaining our book database, drafting editorial copy, and conducting data analysis of book performance.
  • Editorial Operations: Draft and execute licensing agreements, input Editorial content into company systems, and assist with components of hardcover and audiobook production.
  • Department of Cultural Arts & Sciences: Support the coordination and execution of cross-functional business initiatives, including original print acquisition and Collections.
  • Allurial: Assist with Editorial and Marketing initiatives for Allurial, our Romantasy business, including reading and evaluating books, executing on ads and creative, and managing our influencer program
  • Member Experience: Project manage Member Experience initiatives, optimize box rate and books per box through testing and reporting, and serve as the voice of the member by synthesizing platform insights
