Job summary

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers seeks an editorial intern to work closely with editors, own day-to-day tasks, assist with special projects, and attend departmental meetings. The program runs Sept 13, 2026 – Dec 11, 2026 in a hybrid New York setup, with 28 hours per week and a $17.00/hour pay rate.

A company laptop will be provided. You will learn industry trends, review manuscripts, and draft editorial feedback while developing skills in research and organization within a collaborative

Qualifications

• Self-starter with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and excited about discussing recent books you’ve read, with a particular interest in Young Adult and New Adult/romance novels.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day tasks and assist with special projects.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in editorial discussions.
• Learn through educational sessions featuring speakers from all departments.
• General administrative duties as requested.
