Elsevier Inc. is seeking an Editorial Process Manager for Heliyon, a fully open access, all-science journal. You will coordinate manuscript flow from submission through publication, ensuring quality, integrity and efficiency within a global, collaborative team.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, balancing time between the office and home, and entails supporting editors and authors, with opportunities to contribute to evolving editorial workflows and publishing technology.

Qualifikationen

• Have a BSc degree (or equivalent) in life, medical, social or physical sciences.
• Be proactive with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Adapt to change and manage multiple responsibilities with prioritization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills within an international team.
• Ability to work collaboratively or independently with limited supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.

Aufgaben

• Assess newly submitted manuscripts for ethical and scientific compliance and completeness.
• Review to-be-accepted manuscripts for adherence to publishing and ethical standards.
• Spot-check the performance of external editors and provide feedback to internal colleagues.
• Support technical queries from external editors.
• Contribute to chasing pending tasks and backlog management.
• Assist in the editorial process as the journal evolves.
