Job summary

The Drum is seeking an Editorial Operations Manager to architect scalable editorial workflows and AI-enabled processes that power our global content teams across multiple channels and formats.

You will partner with editorial leadership, product, engineering, audience, commercial and events teams to drive operational excellence, governance and efficiency in a fast-growing media environment.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in editorial operations, content operations, media operations or related roles.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Experience working cross-functionally with editorial, technology, product and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize end-to-end editorial workflows across daily journalism, event coverage, video/podcast production and newsletters.
• Lead AI-assisted editorial workflows, evaluate tools and build governance for responsible use of AI.
• Develop and maintain centralized knowledge assets: transcripts, recordings, panels and assets.
• Serve as operational partner between editorial, product and engineering, defining tool requirements.
• Monitor performance, drive automation, and implement scalable systems across platforms.
• Ensure content governance and editorial standards across multi-channel publishing.
