Job summary

Oliver Wyman Forum seeks an Editorial Director to lead, manage, and help set strategy for a thriving thought leadership operation. This seasoned editor writes and edits influential op-eds and reports, and guides a high‑performing editorial team.

You will partner across research, marketing, and design to translate complex research into persuasive publishable pieces, while building a distinctive thought leadership agenda for a global professional services firm. Hybrid NYC role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in journalism/editing or leadership in top-tier media or professional services.
• Experience placing articles in respected external publications.
• Experience working with CEOs or senior executives to develop publishable arguments.
• Master0s degree preferred.
• Knowledge across industries/geographies and how they intersect.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic content topics and thought leadership agenda.
• Shape ideas into differentiated points of view for senior audiences.
• Write and edit top-quality reports and op-eds.
• Collaborate with researchers, marketing, and design to turn research into persuasive arguments.
• Lead editorial calendar and manage pipeline.
• Develop processes for speed, quality, collaboration, and accountability.
• Oversee AI adoption in editorial and governance.
• Track editorial output and placement performance and sharpen priorities.
