What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage the editorial review and revision process for 18–25 essays, reviews, and conversations annually
- Coordinate correspondence with contributors and facilitate peer review feedback
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with editorial staff, designers, and partners
- Oversee journal production with vendors and manage the Journal’s website and social media content
- Participate in compliance training and pursue professional development opportunities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex workflows with multiple contributors and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on editorial precision and aesthetic presentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Suite
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., architecture, cultural studies, art theory, design)
- Familiarity with graphic design, data visualization, or digital publishing tools
- Experience with digital marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp) or journal management systems
- Prior experience in publishing, higher education, or non-profit arts administration
