Paramount's CBS News' 60 Minutes is seeking a highly detail-oriented Editorial Associate to support a Senior Producer across editorial review and administrative functions. This role upholds the program’s reputation for rigorous, in-depth journalism and requires strong writing and analytical skills.

The Editorial Associate will evaluate broadcast segments and related content for accuracy, fairness, context, and adherence to CBS News Standards while processing complex subject matter under tight

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional journalism experience.
• Experience in fact checking for print or broadcast journalism.
• Exemplary attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of complex information into clear findings.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and verify editorial assets including scripts, transcripts, and research materials.
• Read and note on hundreds of pages weekly.
• Assess sourcing quality and factual support.
• Maintain tracking systems for segment progress and fact-checking status.
• Organize materials in shared databases and attend editorial meetings.
