CBS Stations is looking for a digital producer to create and optimize content for digital platforms in Sacramento and San Francisco. This role is responsible for writing and editing stories across a wide range of topics, reacting to breaking news across platforms, clipping and optimizing video on CBSNews.com and on YouTube, and executing growth initiatives across platforms.
We are looking for someone with strong news judgment who can write and edit clear, accurate, fact‑driven copy and craft compelling headlines on deadline in a fast‑paced environment. Scrupulous attention to detail, a cool head under pressure, and excellent communication skills are essential.
The hours for this role are Wednesday through Friday from 11a‑8p and Saturday and Sunday from 3p‑12a. You will be asked to work some holidays and shift your schedule as news breaks.
Your day‑to‑day:
Hiring Salary Range: $70,304.00 - 80,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
