Scholastic seeks an Editorial Assistant, Trade Publishing, to assist the Editorial Director and Executive Editor on core Harry Potter titles and select other children’s books. The role is based in New York City with a minimum two days per week in the SoHo office.

THE OPPORTUNITY Editorial Assistant, Trade Publishing, will assist the Editorial Director and Executive Editor, Harry Potter Publishing, primarily providing administrative and editorial support on all core Harry Potter titles, including frontlist publishing and backlist development, as well as select other children’s book titles. This position provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of children’s books, to develop editorial skills, and to engage in publishing strategy on high‑profile titles in a fast-paced environment. Please note this position requires a minimum of two days per week working in‑office at Scholastic’s NYC (Soho) location. Additional in‑office attendance may be required if the essential functions of the role require it.
