Job summary

Nomura Holdings, Inc. in New York is seeking an Editor / Research Operations Analyst to support the Global Research function with editorial, risk management, and operational processes for a global team with an Asia focus, while based in the Americas. Responsibilities include:

Acting as a project manager for the Research product, gaining deep familiarity with Research systems, and providing editorial review for non-native content to ensure proper grammar and clarity.

Qualifications

  • Native English speaker; Japanese reading and writing skills preferred but not required
  • Undergraduate degree with a strong GPA
  • Superior English grammar skills and attention to detail; commercial mindset
  • Sound judgment/ability to spot reputational risk issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and maturity to manage analyst expectations
  • Basic understanding of balance sheet and financial analysis
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to take FINRA Series 16 examination
  • Ability to work daytime US hours (~8am – 6pm) with flexibility to work outside of these hours as necessary; primarily office-based in NYC with some remote flexibility

Role Description

Base pay may vary depending on market location, corporate and functional title, duties, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements such as a sign‑on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave).

If hired in the U.S., the employee will be in an “at‑will” position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time.
