Editor: Where Your Journalism Skills Can Drive Business Impact
If you're a former journalist ready to expand your storytelling impact beyond traditional media, this Senior Editor role at Method is your compelling next chapter. You'll use the same instincts for news and trends, research skills, and narrative craft that made you successful in journalism. But now you'll help innovative companies tell their stories directly to the audiences that matter most.

Working alongside a team of former top-tier journalists, you'll maintain the editorial rigor and storytelling standards you're accustomed to, while gaining valuable business experience. Rather than chasing daily news cycles, you'll be able to dive deep into our clients’ industry opportunities, conduct thorough research, and craft substantive pieces that can influence and advance timely conversations.
The Work Itself:
Your day-to-day will feel familiar—interviewing executives, researching market trends, and writing and editing compelling content across formats from in-depth white papers to thought-provoking op-eds. The difference: Your stories will help challenger brands and industry disruptors build authentic authority in their markets. You'll work directly with clients — from initial strategy sessions through content creation and delivery — gaining exposure to the insights that matter most while leveraging your proven ability to distill complex information into compelling narratives.
Beyond Traditional Journalism:
This role offers the resources and time to explore different sectors thoroughly, collaborate with other experienced journalists, and see your work activated across multiple platforms to drive real business outcomes for our clients. You'll contribute to new-business pitches, helping potential clients envision how strategic storytelling can transform their market position.
And you’ll be helping drive Method's mission: We partner with companies challenging industry norms, giving you the opportunity to tell stories about genuine innovation rather than incremental changes. Your journalism background will be invaluable in helping these clients cut through the noise of uninspired B2B communications.
This position reports to the EVP of Narrative & Thought Leadership and offers the chance to apply your expertise in a strategic communications environment that values editorial excellence and authentic storytelling.

Final compensation for this role will be determined by a number of factors including the candidate's education, market, and relevant work experience.
