Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior editor in the Boston area to lead offline editing, audio mixing, and graphics production for promos, trailers, and reels. You will manage color correction, finish-work, and packaging across multiple formats and platforms, collaborating with producers to ensure compelling content.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in editing, 3+ years offline editing, and expert knowledge of Avid, After Effects, and ProTools on both Mac and Windows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of industry experience.
• Minimum of three years of offline editing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Avid editing and storage tools.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and ProTools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of video, audio, and graphic file formats.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Filemaker-Pro.
• Fluency in both Apple Macintosh and Windows platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced expertise in offline editing, audio mixing, and graphics production using Avid, After Effects, and ProTools.
• Handles color correction and finish work across multiple formats and delivery channels.
• Produces series packaging elements, promos, trailers, reels, and content marketing videos.
• Collaborates with producers and editors to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
