Job summary

Contact Government Services (CGS) is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to join our legal team supporting a large Federal agency. This mid-level full-time role requires hands-on processing, quality control, and collaboration with litigation staff to ensure timely delivery of production-ready data.

The ideal candidate has three years of eDiscovery experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience supporting project task requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks as defined in Duties & Responsibilities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log production in the Agency’s eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest cover letters and provide a brief description of the production.
• If encrypted, obtain password from the producing party.
• Determine if cover letters have substantive information for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan the production off-network using multiple protection tools; address or reject issues as needed.
• Follow protocol to handle or reject issues detected during virus checks.
• Copy clean production to the Agency’s network after virus clearance.
• Handle documents per protocol for whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, international, BSA, audio, transcripts, laptops or paper.
• Analyze productions to determine required processing and applicable protocol.
• Analyze data for completeness and load-readiness; communicate issues to Litigation Support Specialist.
• Monitor incoming productions via email.
• Monitor Agency FTP site for deliveries.
• Scan and OCR paper documents for Relativity loading.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for large paper withdrawals.
