Job description

LHH is currently recruiting on behalf of a nationally recognized and highly respected law firm seeking an experienced eDiscovery professional to join its Litigation Support function. This position will serve as a key resource to legal teams, providing hands‑on support and guidance across complex eDiscovery matters.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of eDiscovery experience, with strong RelativityOne expertise and a solid understanding of defensible practices throughout the EDRM. This is a role for someone who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, technical teams, and outside vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a key resource to case teams on eDiscovery matters, advising on workflow design, recommended practices, and defensibility considerations from initial data handling through final disposition.
  • Build and administer Relativity workspaces based on the requirements of individual matters, including configuration of security, fields, layouts, views, and other workflow functionality.
  • Help develop and implement strategies for reducing and efficiently reviewing data through methods such as deduplication, targeted searching, filtering, analytics, and technology-assisted review.
  • Partner with Litigation Support colleagues to coordinate processing, ingestion, review preparation, and production activities and ensure deliverables remain on schedule.
  • Maintain visibility into matter activity and milestones, providing regular updates while recognizing potential obstacles and escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Keep thorough records of project activity, requests, data movement, and production‑related deliverables in accordance with established departmental procedures.
  • Manage relationships and day‑to‑day coordination with outside service providers supporting activities such as data collection, scanning, OCR, and trial‑related services, ensuring work meets applicable firm requirements.
  • Oversee the Relativity environment for operational or technical problems and work with internal resources to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Serve as a resource for attorneys, paralegals, and clients using Relativity and related applications, providing practical instruction and making technical processes accessible to non‑technical users.
  • Participate in the assessment and implementation of evolving eDiscovery technologies, workflows, analytics, and AI‑enabled capabilities.
  • Work alongside eDiscovery Engineers on processing, loading, exports, productions, and other technical matter activities as business needs require.
  • Develop and update internal reference materials covering workflows, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and other processes that promote consistency, knowledge transfer, and defensible practices.
  • Support the Director of Litigation Support with departmental projects and operational initiatives, including technology assessments, process enhancements, and other strategic or administrative priorities.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of professional experience supporting eDiscovery workflows within a law firm, legal services provider, corporate legal department, or comparable environment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of RelativityOne, including workspace configuration and administration, review workflows, and production functionality.
  • Solid knowledge of defensible eDiscovery methodology and the various stages of the EDRM.
  • Practical experience applying data culling, analytics, and technology‑assisted review techniques; exposure to AI‑supported review platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to explain technical processes and recommendations in clear, business‑oriented terms to attorneys, clients, and other non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and capable of balancing multiple active matters, competing priorities, and time‑sensitive deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assignments independently while working effectively with attorneys, technical specialists, vendors, and other cross‑functional partners.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and client‑service skills.
ADDITIONAL / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Background working with litigation support and trial technology, including applications such as TextMap, TrialDirector, or comparable platforms.
