Optavise, a CNO Financial Group Company, is hiring an EDI Data Analyst who is is responsible for the handling of both incoming and outgoing data for clients and vendor partners. This position plays a crucial role in supporting every aspect of EDI, payroll, and demographic file integrations related to the benefit administration platform. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with internal and external partners to address errors related to EDI discrepancies, payroll, and demographic imports.
As an EDI Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing all stages of EDI and payroll implementations, both for new implementations and changes to existing file feeds (discovery, build, test, production).
Ensuring timely delivery of payroll and carrier files.
Ensuring timely processing of demographic files and verifying that the benefit administration platform has been accurately updated.
Collaborating with clients or vendors to resolve demographic import issues.
Managing and resolving EDI file discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
Performing audits to ensure the accuracy of data between the benefits administration system and third-party vendors.
Coordinating with Client Services, EDI Engineers, and Configuration Analysts to analyze and fix client issues.
The EDI Data Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:
Are detail oriented and be able to work with large amounts of data.
Demonstrate outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities and are adept at resolving moderately complex data issues.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills along with interpersonal and collaborative proficiency, enabling effective communication of intricate technical subjects to leadership.
Have experience working within a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Can combine data from various sources as necessary for comprehensive data analysis.
Hold specific EDI knowledge and understand carrier-specific rules and structures, including 834 file structures.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2 years of experience handling large data sets, with at least 1 year of experience with employee payroll or benefits data
2 years of experience working with EDI integrations including 834 file formats
2 years of experience with benefits administration systems

Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel
SQL proficiency
Proven experience interfacing with external clients and strong customer service skills

Compensation
Pay Range: $53,800.00 - $80,600.00 Annual
