Glass Fabrication Company near the airport in Grand Rapids is seeking an Edger Operator to join our production team. You will help ensure glass panels meet stringent quality and safety standards, set up the edger, and coordinate with cut and temper lines.

Qualifications

• Reading and tape measure assessment completed and passed.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or fabrication preferred.
• Familiarity with glass production standards is a plus.

• Ability to safely and efficiently operate machinery.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the edger machine to polish glass panel edges.

• Inspect glass for quality, accuracy, and polish, matching specifications.
• Measure final glass dimensions, reporting any discrepancies.
• Notify supervisors of any issues related to quality or size.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and report tool wear or replacement needs.
• Clean and organize the edger work area and washing machine after use.
• Ensure all products meet SGP quality standards and adhere to safety protocols.
• Proactively contribute suggestions for safety improvements.

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our glass panels meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
