Job summary

Cloudflare in Austin (Hybrid) is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Workers Runtime - Edge team. You will own the production runtime service across Cloudflare’s fleet and drive architectural evolution for the platform.

You will balance building a secure, scalable system with mentoring a team of senior engineers, ensuring reliable releases and continuous improvement. The role requires deep C++/Rust expertise and a track record in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of professional experience with C++ or Rust.
• Experience leading teams that operate large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems programming and networking.
• Ability to evaluate architectural proposals and tradeoffs.
• Experience with high-performance, low-latency environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Workers Runtime - Edge team and own reliability and release safety.
• Drive infrastructure initiatives and architectural evolution.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams across the Developer Platform.
