Job summary

University of Delaware's Edge Summer College Program is seeking current undergraduate students to mentor high school juniors and seniors, guiding them through an enriching college-prep experience. You will foster positive relationships, provide academic and social support, and act as a role model who values service, diversity, teamwork, respect, and harmony.

Qualifications

• 2.75+ GPA
• Interest and/or experience working with high school students
• Candidates with at least 1 year of experience in positions such as resident assistants, camp counselors, peer mentors, tutors, etc.
• Values such as serving students, diversity, teamwork, respect, and harmony

Responsibilities

• Mentor up to 15 rising high school juniors and seniors.
• Provide individualized and group academic and social support.
• Conduct mandatory check-ins with mentees each day.
• Plan and market engaging evening and weekend activities; attend each evening activity.
• Provide residence hall security and attend staff meetings; complete basic reports.
• Live in the residence hall for the duration of training and program
