Job summary

Casey’s is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, automate, and support store endpoint and edge infrastructure that powers our retail operations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to modernize technology and improve reliability.

You will work on automation using PowerShell and REST APIs, evaluate hardware, monitor systems, and maintain high availability across locations. This role requires onsite work in Ankeny, IA and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience building and maintaining technical solutions in a business environment.
• Experience with Linux systems engineering in production.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automation and tooling.
• Experience with RESTful APIs for integrations and data exchange.
• Experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to work onsite daily in Ankeny, IA.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support store endpoint and edge infrastructure solutions.
• Develop automation and tooling using PowerShell and REST APIs to improve efficiency.
• Evaluate hardware compatibility with store OS, apps, and workloads.
• Monitor health and performance; troubleshoot and drive root-cause resolution.
• Maintain edge-hosted VMs and critical store tech platforms for high availability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Networking, Store Systems, and vendors.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve security, performance, reliability.
• Establish standards, documentation, and best practices for store infrastructure.
• Participate in production support and on-call rotation.
