Job summary

CVS Health Senior Security Engineer - Akamai & Edge Security Services will design, implement, and optimize security controls to protect enterprise web applications, APIs, and internet-facing services. You will partner with application, cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security teams and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise web security, hands-on Akamai experience, WAF and bot protection expertise, and strong telemetry analysis.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in enterprise web applications, APIs, or edge security.
3+ years hands-on with Akamai security technologies or comparable platforms.
3+ years knowledge: WAF, bot management, DDoS, API security, DNS/traffic, TLS/certs, OWASP Top 10, Linux environments.
2+ years of analyzing telemetry and mitigating threats.

Responsibilities

Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies (WAF, Bot Manager, DDoS protections).
Administer Imperva Website Security and origin integrations.
Design and maintain security controls for web apps and APIs.
Configure WAF protections, rate limits, IP/geography controls, API protections, and custom rules.
Develop bot mitigation controls and automated enforcement.
Investigate and mitigate DDoS and credential stuffing attacks.
Monitor security telemetry and respond to incidents; perform root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with teams to integrate security into CI/CD and document procedures.
